The following programs may provide free or low-cost eye exams:
Applicants must have an eyeglasses prescription dated within the last 24 months, including their pupillary distance (PD) measurement before applying. New Eyes does not pay or arrange for eye exams.
For applicants who need to renew an expired eyeglass prescription, New Eyes does offer a prescription renewal vision test available through our application process.

National Association for Free Clinics
The National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC) is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization whose website contains a free locator of clinics across the United States. Clinics vary in type of health care offered and all may not offer eye exams. However, we recommend contacting those clinics near you to ask for guidance and direction on where to receive a free eye exam.
Commission for the Blind
search for the Commission for the Blind in your state who should have a Project Prevention Unit and can direct you to assistance in your area.
Lions Clubs
provide financial assistance for eye care to individuals through local clubs. Services vary from club to club.
OneSight Program
may provide free eye care to individuals based on a referral from a local charitable agency such as the American Red Cross, United Way, Boys Club and YMCA..
Sight for Students
(1-888-290-4964) operates nationally through a network of community partners to provide free eye care to low-income, insured children 18 years of age and younger.
